Nisha Kulkarni

Nisha Kulkarni began her hindustani vocal training at 5 with Sri Manu Srivastava of Phoenix Gharana. She showed early promise and, at the age of 10, won the Swarganga Crescendo national competition in Atlanta for the age group 15 and under. Since then she has continued to learn from Manuji and has performed at many venues, including Pt. Kashinath Bodas Festival in Phoenix, Festival of Tabla in Los Angeles and Swarzhankar festival in India. She has completed her Visharad degree from the Indian Institute of Classical Music. She is a senior in high school. She is an advocate for educating and empowering women around the world, and is the president of She’s the First organization at her school. She researches honey bee neurology at Arizona State University.
