Smrithi Sankar Krishnan

Smrithi Sankar Krishnan, from Jacksonville, FL, is a 16-year-old Senior at Stanton College Preparatory High School, Jacksonville. Smrithi started her journey with Carnatic music and Bharatnatyam with her mother Smt. Subashree Narayanan. After moving to India in 2012, she continued the art form under Sri. Vasudevan Ramanujam and is now currently learning under Smt. Tejaswini Rao, Tampa FL and Smt. Sandhya Rao, Bellary, India. She continues learning Bharatanatyam under Smt. Deepthi Radhakrishnan (Louisville, KY & Bengaluru, India), who is the disciple of Guru B. Bhanumati and Guru Smt. Sheela Chandrashekar (Nritya Kala Mandiram, Bengaluru, India).

Apart from these graceful artforms, Smrithi is a 1st degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and is currently an active member in our local community theatre groups. Smrithi also volunteers with children with special needs in her free time and has received several accolades in French related competitions.
