Being the eldest son of musical talent of Mrs. Seema Baruri who took her most of her "Talim" from Pandit Gnan prakash Ghosh and Sri Gopal Baruri, eminent Tabla Player of Malda- Abhijit got the sense of pure Indian Clas­sical Music even before he took birth. He got his initial talim from his father from very child­hood. Later Sri Gopal Baruri took him to the tabla maestro Sri Shyamal Bose. (The word "pandit" was carefully avoided for this maestro, as he himself used to be furious hearing the same against his name. But we all know the fact). While residing almost every moment with Sri Shyamal Bose ( Abhijit used to call him as "jathamasai") for last 15 years with him Abhijit got the exclusive talim from him which made him a true researcher of this magical instru­ment.

At the age of ten I came to Rampur Gharana for learn­ing Indian Clas­sical Music and till date in Music (with practice and also per­formed in dif­ferent places in India in dif­ferent Musical Conference ( Kolkata ( Belur Math Ramakrishna Mission), Madras, Pondicherry ( Aurobindo Ashram - The Hall of Harmony ), Agartala, Port-Blair etc). Apart from this I have com­pleted my Post Graduation in "System Management" I am attachment with some Computer Organization. I have also a Computer Organization(software development) . In bet­ween that I am completely a Musician. My dream, My heart, my ambition to development Music.
